My first visit to Nottingham and we looked for the nearest Masjid. This Masjid is perfectly placed for easy access and in close proximity to town. We had more difficulty in finding the entrance(around the back) than getting there. The Masjid is well organised with shoe racks and wudu facilities conveniently located. The main hall carpets are getting to the end of their life but everything else was good. The parking is very limited in and around the Masjid but there are NCP car parks near by. If I ever have the pleasure of visiting Nottingham, this Masjid will be my preferred choice.

There are so many weird practices,
They have a habit of bringing imams that don’t speak Arabic or English, it’s only for people who understand Urdu, plus I do not understand how they do the Jumuah, they pray an additional salah before the actual Jumuah salah which is strange especially if you’re Sunni you’re supposed to do 2 rakkat (Tahia Al masjid) before the imam starts the speech, lastly it’s appalling to see staff members collecting zakat while the imam is speaking, it’s prohibited to do anything but listen to the imam when he is speaking

Very rude staff. Went to a mehfil on the 15th of October and the staff accused me of lying, which they said, “lying in a mosque” as I told them I didn’t got my raffle and they said that they gave it to me which they didn’t and they were muttering underneath their breath. also the staff were swearing and fighting which is ridiculous in a mosque and they weren’t little kids they were grown adult. Furthermore, they continued to give dirty looks to me and my kids and talking rubbish about me so was very uncomfortable so don’t recommend it.

Attended Juma prayers while visiting Nottingham. Very small car park, so had to park on street and pay for parking...ÂŁ1 for 1 hour. Bear in mind it is a City Centre location. The entrance is off the main road.
Wudu facilities okay, but no towels or paper towels...just washroom dryers...had to make do. Went thru to main hall and Iman was conducting the sermon in Urdu. As we were early thought he would then change to English...but not the case. Also the volume was quite high, where it was ear pircing.
Jammat started just after 2pm.
Overall nice and pleasant visit to fulfil Juma prayers.
